Ingredients

  • 3 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples, sliced (about 2.5 cups)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
  • 1 and 3/4 cups fresh apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (or juice from 2 medium oranges)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Club soda, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher.
  • Add sliced Honeycrisp apples and orange.
  • Pour in red wine, fresh apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice.
  • Stir gently and cover, refrigerating for 6 to 24 hours.
  • Before serving, sweeten to taste if desired.
  • Prepare optional cinnamon-sugar rim on glasses if using.
  • Serve over ice and add club soda if desired.
