  • ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature (for filling)
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for filling)

Instructions

  • Whisk together dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugars until fluffy.
  • Add eggs, vanilla, and flavoring to the creamed mixture.
  • Combine dry and wet ingredients alternately with yogurt and milk.
  • Cover and let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
  • Mix filling ingredients and transfer to a piping bag.
  • Fill muffin tins and swirl in the cinnamon filling.
  • Bake at 425°F for 8 minutes, then at 350°F for 13-16 minutes.
  • Cool and poke holes in muffins to add more filling.
